The pizzato wines and vines have 42 hectares of vineyards at vale dos vinhedos, bento gonçalves and at dr. Fausto de castro, dois lajeados township, in the mountainous zone, towards the plateau. It is important to observe that the hectares total finds itself on several production stages: some recently planted, others on the peak of production and a few declining. Relatively the cultive, despite the major dedication to the red wine production, also works with white variables: chardonnay, semillon, moscato, white malvasia, among others. The cultivated vinifera grapes are predominantly merlot and cabernet sauvignon. Another types of grapes like pinot noir, tannat, alicante bouschet and egiodola are cultivated and converted to wine to arrange small amounts of products or to make wines coupage that are set with the traditional. The pinot noir is destined, basically, to vinification on white for the composition of the base wine for the elaboration of the sparkling.
